The Department of Bodily Instruction and Sports Scientific tests at the University of Ghana has held a 5-working day teaching workshop for some practitioners in the sporting industry.
The coaching which commenced on Monday, May perhaps 30 and ended Friday June 3, 2022 was aimed at equipping the members with know-how in Athletics Administration and Physical fitness and Gymnasium Management.
Speaking at a brief ceremony to mark the close of the program, Dr Austin Luguterah, the head of the Actual physical Education and learning office of the University of Ghana remarked that the 28 contributors had been equip with awareness in sports activities management and physical fitness to help them handle their respective fields efficiently.
He spelled out that the schooling included places of management, health club marketing and management, offering of high-quality products and services and addressing shoppers in the fitness center.
He is persuaded that the know-how shared by the instructors will go a extensive in aiding the members to regulate their respective organizations and health club centres.
“The study course was tailor-made for practitioners. This was to give them all the know-how needed in the industry to make sure that the supply productive services to their clients.
The Performing Dean of the School of Education and learning and Leadership(UG) Professor Gordon S.K Adika who was the chairman of the celebration counseled the department for the initiative and urged the pupils to utilize what the learnt during the five-day coaching.
Just one of the members who spoke to the press, disclosed that the plan has opened her thoughts to a selection of significant troubles in sporting activities and fitness management.
She thought that the awareness acquired will help her in the field and praised the department for the system.
