Satelight’s Science-Fiction Anime Sakugan Unveils Visual, October 7 Premiere – News

The official website for Sakugan (Sacks&Guns!!), Satelight‘s anime of Nekotarō Inui’s Sakugan Labyrinth Marker (Drilling Labyrinth Marker) novel, unveiled a new visual and revealed the anime’s October 7 premiere date on Friday.

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX and MBS on October 7 at 11:30 p.m. (10:30 a.m. EDT), and will then run on BS11 on October 9. The three main cast members and the director will appear at an advance online screening of the first two episodes on September 19 on the Niconico Live service.

The anime was delayed to 2021 from its originally slated 2020 broadcast. Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in Japan, and it premiered the first episode in advance on Thursday.

Apple Announces Science Fiction Drama Series ‘Invasion’, Premieres October 22 [Video]

Apple has officially announced a 10-episode science fiction drama series called ‘Invasion’, from Simon Kinberg (“X-Men” films, “Deadpool” films, “The Martian”) and David Weil (“Hunters”).

Set across multiple continents, ‘Invasion’ follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world. The series stars Shamier Anderson (“Bruised,” “Awake”), Golshifteh Farahani (“Extraction,” “Paterson,” “Body of Lies”), Sam Neill (“Jurassic World: Dominion,” “Peaky Blinders”), Firas Nassar (“Fauda”) and Shioli Kutsuna (“Deadpool 2,” “The Outsider”).

‘Invasion’ is written and executive produced by Kinberg and Weil and executive produced by Jakob Verbruggen (“The Alienist,” “The Fall”), who also directed multiple episodes.
